Makenzie had a wonderful christmas and Santa was very good to her. I guess she was a good little girl last year. Santa brought Makenzie a Cozy Coupe Car, which she will get in and out of a million times. And, it did not take her long to want to stand up in her car and lean out the window. Now when you ask What does a car say? Makenzie says "Beee Beee" for Beep Beep. She also got an Elmo kitchen and a baby piano which are two of her favorite toys now. As you can tell in the photo below, you can play a piano much better if you hang your toungue out. On christmas morning I put the Santa hat on Makenzie, hoping for at least 1 photo with it on, but she must have felt festive because she left it on through all of the present opening.
We also got to spend 4 days at christmas with Alex (makenzie's cousin) and Brad (my brother). I do not know if I would say they played together really, but it was a lot of fun to see them together and let them get to know each other a little more. Everything that Alex tried to play with Makenzie wanted to play to, so at one point Alex put a gate around Makenzie so she could not touch his toys anymore. Then they got to take a bath together and Alex had gotten a little boys shaving kit, and he thought the best part about it was to put shaving cream in Kenzie's hair. Luckily, she did not mind.

After christmas, Makenzie started running a fever on Tuesday, and even with Tylenol and Motrin it would not break. We took her to the doctor on Wednesday morning and they said she just has a little cold. By 5pm that night, Makenzie's temperature was up to 105.8, so we went to Childrens urgent care. The doctors there examined her and could not find anything physically/noticably wrong. They then ordered a Urine test, and Makenzie had to have a baby catheter inserted. She did cry but held really still and was such a big girl. That came back normal, so they then ordered a chest x-ray, and by this time she was sick of being poked at, but again held very still. The x-ray also came back normal. So at this point they sent us home, also stating that it is just a virus. They said she is just a baby who runs high fevers and does not react to Tylenol well. So needless to say, the next couple of days/night were tough. New Years Eve, I think we were all asleep by 9:15. On Monday, the 4th, Makenzie was still not better, and back to the doctor she went. This time, she was diagnosed with double ear infections and strep throat. The last week has been a little rough but now, Makenzie is on an antobiotic and is feeling much better (and Mommy and Daddy).
Here are a couple more photos from christmas time.
