Makenzie absolutely loves music. She has two main moves. First she jams/bounces to fast songs or if it is a slow song she moves her head back and forth. It is too funny. She also will mimic the mouth movements on a couple of songs. In the video she is singing Old MacDonald, pay attention to the E-I-E-I-O.
So December has been extremely busy, so Makenzie's blog has not been updated in awhile. Better late than never. Makenzie is super excited about Santa coming, and I am sure he knows just what she wants since I think she has seen him about 7 times. When asked what Santa says, Makenzie says "BoBoBo". She is very fascinated with Santa's beard and now anyone who has a full beard is Santa according to her.

Here are a few of her christmas photos, I wish I could post them all. Enjoy !!

1st Santa of the season !

This is the same Santa we took Makenzie to last year @ Learning Express. Last year she slept the entire time. This year we were positive she was going to scream. Makenzie just kind of looked at him with a "Who are you?" look on her face. No screaming !

I think Dasher, Dancer, Comet, and Rudolph kind of took her attention off of Mr. Claus.

And "The Suzi" goes to.....

Monday Night we went to the 5th annual Suzi Bass Awards. "The Suzi's" are Atlanta's version of the Tony Awards.

For those of you who don't know, Suzi Bass was Cameron's mother who passed away from Melanoma on May 17th, 2002 at the age of 52. Suzi was a very well known actress around Georgia. She played in some very exciting movies and television shows such as Fried Green Tomatoes, Chill Factor, My Cousin Vinny, Traveling Man, In the Heat of the night, and Sweet Home Alabama. The Suzi Bass Awards are an excellent way to honor her.

I am positive that most everyone there was wondering why we had a 1 year old at the awards, since she was the only child there. Toward the end of the ceremony they did announce Miss Makenzie and she got to go on stage, then it all made a little bit more sense. Makenzie looked adorable and behaved wonderfully during the entire awards ceremony, that was about 2.5 hours long. She clapped and laughed when everyone else did and just thought that was the most hilarious thing ever. There were a couple of singing performances and she jammed thru them all. Jammed=bouncing, clapping, and laughing. I do have to say that she really does have pretty good rhythm.

I honestly can say I never thought she would make it 45 mins, and we all are soooooo proud of her (including the ones who were sitting by us in the audience).

This is Kenny Leon, he was one of the first winners of a Suzi Bass award !

This smile says it all at how much fun Miss Makenzie was having ! Mommy absolutely loves this photo.

Taking a look at the program.

These were some of Suzi's best friends. Alan, Karen, and Susan.

We need your help in voting for Makenzie for best halloween costume.

Last weekend we drove to downtown Atlanta for a costume contest w/ a photographer that I absolutely love. Maybe a little extreme for a costume contest, but well worth it if we win, and Mimi (my mom) would be sooo happy since she is the one who handmade Makenzie's costume. All of the photos are now on their website and we need YOUR help. The child who has the most comments/votes will win some great prizes including a photo shoot, which will mean great pictures fo all of you!

Please go to http://www.jamesadamhill.com/ and vote for the little chicken (Makenzie). Her photo is on the second page. There are some other great costumes to look at as well.

Please vote soon, we dont have much time. Forward to any of your friends to vote as well.
Thanks so much. We appreciate it !

Hope everyone is doing well.

Spaghetti !

So, I just have to share some spaghetti fun with everyone. Makenzie absolutely loves some spaghetti ! Put a bowl in front of her and she goes to town. It is too funny to watch her eat because she slurps them in (you will see in the video). And, since spaghetti is a little slippery, there is always quite a bit that ends up in her lap. But if you just take the highchair tray off, she will spend another 10-15 mins eating off of her tummy and lap.
Here are a couple of photos and a quick video.

Pumpkin Picking !

At the end of the hayride to pick your pumpkins is a little petting zoo. Makenzie got to see her first real cow. There also were some baby pigs, sheep, roosters, and a really stinky turkey.

Apple Pickin'

A couple of weeks ago we went to Mercier's Apple Farm in Ellijay, GA. Every Saturday in September is U-pick day. We could not have asked for a more gorgeous day. It was the weekend after the flood so the ground was still a little soggy in some places. We got about 15-20 pounds of apples, and they are by far the best apples I have ever had. Honestly, I had no idea there were that many different types of apples. Makenzie had a blast, her favorite part was the she got to taste one of every kind of apple that we picked. Since that weekend, we have spent every Sunday making apples recipes. We had so much fun and would definently recommend it to everyone.

Makenzie's 1st birthday party !!

Thank you to all our wonderful family and friends who helped celebrate Makenzie's 1st birthday. Makenzie has had soo much fun playing with all of her toys that she received. Here are a couple of photos from her party.

Makenzie got to wear the strawberry dress that I wore at my first birthday party !

Kenz did not get enough cake and icing, she is eating it off of the wrapper too.

I absolutely love this face !!!
